The Chinese Flowering White Serissa Looks Great in the Traditional Broom Style
It’s sometimes called the Tree of a Thousand Stars, and one look at a blooming Chinese Flowering White Serissa indoor bonsai tree and you’ll see exactly where it got that name from. This tree has elongated, shiny green leaves that are almost spoon shaped. They grow all over the bonsai’s many branches. One thing to note is that the branches start to grow tighter and tighter as the tree ages and as you shear off outside branches. This gives the White Serissa a bush-like look to it.
During its blooming season, the Chinese Flowering White Serissa features small, trumpet shaped blossoms that are a bright white in color. This tree is fairly easy to care for, making it ideal for beginners.
There are many different things that are important for your bonsai, but one of the most important is the soil. Your bonsai needs to be grown in some very good soil since this provides the foundation of a healthy plant. The soil needs to hold in water and nutrients, and it needs to be fairly solid, too. While the bonsai won’t be outside, the soil still needs to support the tree so that it doesn’t lean over. If you put your bonsai outdoors at all, the soil also needs to support the tree during high winds.
