Outside Décor and Post Caps
I have always loved decorating inside the house and never really thought about what I could do outside. My husband, however, loves being outside and insisted we do a deck off our bedroom and fence the yard with a privacy fence. We ended up with a wrap around deck from our bedroom all the way around to the back of the house. As I was looking at fencing I found something called a post cap.
I had never heard of them before and didn’t realize it but I had seen them many times. As I looked through all the wonderful post caps with different sizes and unique shapes, I was hooked. I love post caps. I also did a little research and found that the caps protect the posts as well from water and insects. So I have used a combination of post caps to set off the different sections of our yard and deck. I have also used them as décor and made some very interesting center pieces and candle holders. I have been having so much fun that now I’m outside all the time with my husband!
